Automatic wrap-around case packing machine, with in-line feeding, 25 pcs/min, WPS 600R-K, Smipack

The main innovations of the WPS 600R-K model compared to the rest of the range are the newly developed carton magazine, which contains pre-glued and pre-folded cartons instead of open cartons, as well as the system used for case forming.

The machine picks up one carton at a time by means of a suction-cup device which, while moving from the magazine to the working table, performs a slightly offset opening motion to unfold the carton before placing it on the working table, where two side flaps hold it firmly in position while it moves toward the loading area.

Subsequently, by means of a two-axis motorized pushing device, the unpackaged product is moved laterally into the carton to create the packaging configuration selected from the case packer’s control panel. Finally, another device folds and glues the carton side flaps to obtain the finished case.
